"Halifax."

A burst of laughter ensued. I too joined in, realizing how stupid my idea sounded. Two thousand kilometers by bike, in the heart of the Canadian winter.


Toronto, Ontario to Halifax, Nova Scotia

I left in the evening of what will later be known as the 2013 North American ice storm. I didn’t have much time to prepare, it was December 20th and was on the road shortly after my last exam.

Throughout this trip I will be trying to use couch-surfing and warmshowers, two websites which can offer free accommodation to cyclists. And as staying in a motel or hostel is not in my budget, I will sometimes need to camp.
