So after I reached Panama, I went back to work in Canada. While planting trees, my foreman would often take out the British Columbia backroad map and start telling me about interesting places. One of which was this power generating station on the ocean, beside the Coastal Range. Since I already got a packraft for The Darien Gap, I kind of decided to give it a shot - what better place to learn to paddle than in a giant reservoir and later in the ocean!
